When the enemy attacks us, let us remember that God is with us and He will protect us. When we are in danger, let us not forget God and depend on His word. This will be the work of our true intelligence that helps us stand firm in faith. Our battles are not physical but spiritual. The rulers of darkness want to discourage us and defeat us. On the other hand, God’s promise encourages us and empowers us to be victorious in this battle.
From the story of David and Goliath, we can learn how God makes His children victorious. Shepherd David always trusted in the Lord, and he said that this battle is not mine but the Lord’s. He did not rely on his own strength but relied completely on the strength of God. That is why David won this battle. May we have a heart like David, where we always remember that the battles we fight are not ours but God’s. By surrendering ourselves completely into the hands of God, we will also win all kinds of battles in life.
Another incident we can see from the Bible about King Jehoshaphat of Judah, when he was faced with a large army; he asked the Lord for help. The king prayed to God to deliver him from this difficult situation. For this reason, he also prayed and fasted. In his prayer, God answered him and told him not to be afraid and to remember that this is the battle of God. From this story, we can learn that if we are completely dependent on God and call on Him with all our heart, we will win any battle.
God has called us to be well-equipped for spiritual warfare. We should wear the spiritual armor that He has given us. Then, when Satan attacks us, we will be able to defeat him easily. We need to remember that this battle is God’s, and He is with us.
