The greatest of all God’s promises is the promise of heaven that makes us happy. To understand this, we need to believe in God’s Word. Heaven is a place where God’s righteous people will live with Him forever. The Bible says there will be no pain, suffering, or tears in heaven. The assurance of heaven gives us the strength to endure all the sufferings of this world because we know that the joys of heaven are nothing compared to these sufferings.
To understand heaven, we need to learn from Jesus. He told his disciples that he was going to prepare a place in his Father’s house, and when he returned, he would take his disciples there. He proved heaven by his death and resurrection. He showed that after death, just as he lived, we will live in the same way. When we think about heaven, we understand that our journey on this earth is temporary and our real home is heaven.
We are citizens of heaven, so we should live in a way that brings glory to God. As followers of Jesus, we should love the people of the world and share the teachings of Jesus with them. We should live in a way that honors God and draws others to God.
As believers, we should hold fast to the hope of heaven because it will guide our minds and actions. Even when we face the most difficult times in life, the hope of heaven will encourage us to remain steadfast in our faith. So we will qualify ourselves to enter heaven by living a righteous life in this world.
