Today we will discuss what the Bible teaches us about food and fellowship. When we sit down to eat together, it is not just about eating food, it also enhances our relationship with each other and shows our love for God.
In the Old Testament, we see many instances where God’s children sat down to eat and drink together, thereby glorifying God. In the New Testament, we see many instances where Jesus sat down to eat and drink with his disciples.
Even the early church continued the tradition of breaking bread together, and through this, they improved their relationships with each other. When we sit down to eat together, it reminds us that we are all equal and that we have one Father who is the provider of all things.
