When we find peace in God’s presence, our hearts and minds are filled with joy. The peace we get from God is different from the world. Even in the most difficult times, the peace we get from God’s presence calms our anxious hearts. It is a gift from God that assures us that He is always with us.
From the Bible, we see how God’s presence gives us peace. When Jesus was sailing on a boat with his disciples, a storm arose and the disciples were afraid. Jesus rebuked the storm, and his disciples were calm from their fear. This story reminds us that no matter how difficult life gets, if God is with us, we will have peace.
In another story, we see that when Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den, he did not fear due to God’s presence. Because of his faith in God, he understood that God’s presence would protect him. God closed the mouth of the lion, and he was saved. From here we see how God’s presence gives us peace.
When we come to God through prayer and meditation on God’s Word, God brings peace into our lives. God’s presence gives our lives completeness and helps us to judge right from wrong.
We must trust in God’s plan and His timing. This will bring us peace. If we become impatient about something and blame God, God’s wrath will come upon our lives instead of peace. Therefore, we should always be patient and entrust everything to God. And only then will we experience the presence of God that will remove all the anxiety in our hearts and fill us with peace.
