In our walk with God, we must understand the importance of warning the wicked and sinners about their ways. The Bible tells us that it is an act of love for the sinners and obedience to God when we guide them away from sin. As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a responsibility to proclaim the truth in love.
The story of Jonah, informs us that he was called by God to warn the people of Nineveh about their wickedness. Jonah refused to go there, but at last, he obeyed and delivered God’s message to the people of Nineveh. Afterwards, the people of Nineveh repented, and God showed them mercy. This example teaches us the power of obeying God’s warnings.
We warn others about the truth that God has revealed to us so that they can be saved from God’s wrath. We are not going to warn them out of judgment but to show them the right path that the Lord has made for us.
Just as a shepherd warns his flock when he sees a wolf approaching them. In that same manner, we are to warn sinners and wicked about the danger that is ahead of them.
Many times Jesus warned people while he was on the earth. He used many parables to make people understand about the consequences of sin. He also asked them to repent and seek forgiveness from the Lord. As we are his followers, we should approach the sinners and warn them about the judgment of the Lord.
When we approach sinners to warn them, we must observe ourselves first whether we are walking in righteousness or not. We need to be examples of God’s love and holiness. Our lives should reflect the message that we share with others. Dear friends, now let’s see the Bible scriptures below that talk about warning the wicked and sinners.
