Spiritual battles are taking place every day in our lives. We cannot use physical weapons for our spiritual warfare. But with the power of faith, prayer, and the Word of God we can fight against our spiritual warfare. Our enemy is the forces of darkness that seek to lead us away from the light of Jesus Christ.
From the Bible, we can learn the technique of how to stand firm in this warfare. The word of God instructs us to equip ourselves with the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the enemy.
Let us look at the story of David and Goliath. David was just a young shepherd, not a trained warrior, but he had faith in God. He defeated mighty Goliath through his faith. This teaches us that we need to equip ourselves with the full armor of God to defeat our enemy.
Jesus also fought against spiritual warfare when He was tempted in the wilderness right after his baptism. He applied Scripture to confront the devil’s lies. This teaches us the importance of knowing and speaking God’s Word. We should fill our minds and hearts with scripture to know the truth from lies and to stand firm against spiritual attacks.
Prayer is also important to get victory in our spiritual warfare. When we pray and seek the power from God, we allow God to fight the battle on behalf of us. Jesus taught us how to pray to overcome battles through prayers.
