Relationships are gifts from God, so we should hold on to them tightly even in times of struggle and conflict. God’s word encourages us to show love and kindness to others. Since God is love, we should also love others. We must fight for our relationships when we understand that divine love binds us. If we observe the Lord, we can discover His mercy in maintaining His relationship with humanity. From the beginning of creation, man disobeyed God, and yet, God always works to preserve relationships. This teaches us that we need love in our hearts to hold on to them.
The story of Ruth and Naomi teaches us a great lesson. Ruth refused to abandon Naomi, her mother-in-law, even when there seemed no hope. Her loyalty and love were rewarded, and she later became part of the lineage of Jesus Christ. This story tells us that true love and commitment can lead to blessings.
The relationship between Jacob and Esau is also another story that teaches us a lesson. Despite their differences and the deception that occurred between them, they eventually reconciled. This story teaches us that forgiveness and reconciliation are possible in relationships. God’s grace can heal our wounds and restore broken hearts.
We need to love others to overcome all negativity in our relationships. Love encompasses all, and we can surely have healthy relationships with others. Dear brothers and sisters, let us not abandon our relationships. Instead, let us seek God’s help, show love and forgiveness, and trust in His plan. God is always with us, guiding us and giving us the strength we need. Dear friends, let us now look at the following Bible passages that speak about not abandoning a relationship.
